How to obtain Installation Details from CUCM Certificate Information from Publisher?
Today, lets talk about how to gather the installation details from CUCM Certificate Information like Organization, Unit, Location, State and Country. Let’s assume that you have already installed a Publisher a year ago and now you want to install the subscriber in the same location and same server rack so that redundancy can be provided. Since you are doing it for an enterprise organization, you want the settings/configuration of the Certificate Information to be similar like the Publisher.
Now the question is if you have not documented the Publisher a year ago with all those info, how will you gather this info? It’s quite simple and easy to gather all those info in few clicks. Lets see how? There are two ways i can show you how to achieve these info.
||Option 1||
- Login to Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Publisher) using GUI (Web)
- On the Right Top of your Internet Explorer, you might receive Certificate Error as shown in the below screenshot.
- Click on Certificate Error and you will see the View Certificates as shown in the below screenshot.
- Click on View Certificates and a small window will appear. Click on Details and select Issuer as shown in the below screenshot.
- Login to Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Publisher) using CLI.
- Issue commands “show web-security” as shown below in the screenshot.
Now you have all the details using CLI || GUI.
C – Country
S – State
L – Location
O – Organization –
OU – Organization Unit
If you would like to change the above information in publisher, you can go ahead and do that easily as well.
- Login to Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Publisher) using CLI.
- Issue commands “set web-security ?” as shown below in the screenshot.
- Now change the configuration according to the requirement as per the below statement
set web-security orgunit orgname locality state [country] [alternatehostname]
Note – Country (Optional) || Alternatehostname (Optional) –
Alternate Hostname specifies an alternate name for the host when you generate a web-server (Tomcat) certificate.
Hope the above information helps!!
