Demo 2: Automation on onboarding users to CUCM and Unity Connection

Demo 2: Automation on onboarding users to CUCM and Unity Connection

Recently i was working on automation and i thought of developing a front end customised web page to perform IMACD and basic troubleshooting team (restricted access).

Giving customised web based access to the team has the following benefits:

  • Restricted access:  You can limited access to the team so that they can perform only IMACD.
  • Provisioning/UnProvisioning: Can provision or unprovision the users, cisco ip phones, jabber accounts, directory number in few seconds.
  • Time saving: In normal process if we have to provision users/phones/directory numbers, it takes around 5-10 mins to complete a task, with such automation, it hardly takes 5-10 seconds to complete the task.
  • Accuracy: If we provisioning is done manually, there are chances that a person may miss out to associate some parameters for a phone to work. In case of automation, the accuracy is 100%.
  • Individual User/Multiple Users: With the web based tool, you can not only provision the individual users in few seconds but also provisioning users in bulk in few seconds.
  • Health Checks/Troubleshooting: Can perform basic troubleshooting/health checks.

I am still working on the automation to develop and include more features, meanwhile i am also sharing the demo video so that you can have a look and share your feedback on what features can be included so that it will make the tool more worthy! Please do not forget to share your inputs.
