UCCX – Failed to save script file; Please check logs for further details
Are you facing an issue “Failed to save script file; Please check logs for further details” while saving a script to the server from script editor? If yes, there is a small workaround which can resolve this issue.
The above issue occurs when you use the username which is not present in CUCM but the username will be within UCCX. For example – Administrator user id which was created during installation. As a workaround, create or use a username which is present in CUCM and UCCX and this should resolve your issue.
[Optional] To create a user in CUCM and UCCX for script editor, you can follow the below steps.
- Login to Cisco Unified Communications Manager
- Create an End User such as scriptadmin or any user id of your choice(user id, password and lastname).
- Login to Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
- Go to Tools > User Management > Administrator Capability View >
- Select the user “scripadmin” or the one you created from Available Users box and move the user to Cisco Unified CCX Administrator* box
- Click on Update
- Now Login to Cisco Unified CCX Editor with the username “scriptadmin” or the one you created
- Now you should be able to save the script to the server from script editor
Hope this helps!
